This is one heck of a superstar super league!

It took all of two seconds for The Boys to become an instant classic on Prime Video: the story of the worst (best?) heroes ever sometimes kicks ass, and is sometimes so gruesome you're watching between your fingers.

But more than that, before it even aired a second, it had one hell of a stacked cast full of those actors that you might remember from that thing that one time – but you can't put your finger on.

Thankfully, that's where we at Digital Spy come in!

As we patiently wait for season four (which is officially a go!), we've taken a deep dive into the cast's past credits.

Here's everything you need to know about where you've seen them before (and what they're up to next!)

New Zealand-born Karl Urban has managed to appear in some of the most successful franchises of all time, covering everything from Star Trek to Lord of the Rings.

You may recognise him as Éomer in Lord of the Rings, Leonard McCoy in the Star Trek movie trilogy, Kirill in The Bourne Supremacy or Skurge the Executioner in the MCU's Thor: Ragnarok.

Heck, he even played a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker (though you'd be forgiven for not recognising him in that capacity).

He also led the cast in the 2012 reboot of Dredd, the 2015 reboot of Pete's Dragon and 2002 horror movie Ghost Ship.

Jack Quaid, son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, arguably has acting in his blood. However, despite this, he didn't make his debut until 2012, when he played rival tribute Marvel in The Hunger Games.

Since the launch of The Boys, Jack has become an in-demand star, having starred alongside Pen15's Maya Erskine in rom-com Plus One, joined the cast of Scream (2022) as the film loving Richie, and lending his voice to Star Trek: Lower Decks.

He's now due to be in the jam-packed cast of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer next year, starring opposite Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Rami Malek and Emily Blunt to name a few.

Antony Starr has a knack for picking exciting and long-standing TV roles, way before he became The Boys' Homelander.

From 2005 to 2010, the actor took on double duty as both Jethro and Van West in Outrageous Fortune, then in 2013-2016, he played Lucas Hood in Banshee.

After that, he became Garrett Hawthorne in 2016 mystery, American Gothic.

She also previously appeared as Audrey Hart in True Detective and starred in the much-praised 2016 film Captain Fantastic opposite Viggo Mortensen.

Irish star Dominique's first major film was alongside Sam Rockwell in Moon back in 2008, though before that she was a regular on Irish telly with roles in shows including On Home Ground.

Though you may know her best as Hannah Conway in Netflix's House of Cards. Joining the cast in season four as a recurring role, she was bumped up to a main role in season five.

Jessie has appeared in Independence Day: Resurgence, the Shaft film reboot as well as Dangerous Lies.

On TV, he was a regular on Level Up, and then in 2014 became a regular player on Survivor's Remorse, staying on the show for three years.

However, his first major role was in vampire flick The Covenant in 2006, starring alongside Sebastian Stan and Taylor Kitsch. He has also appeared in romcom What To Expect When You're Expecting, and played killer Tex Watson in a dramatic retelling of the Charles Manson murders, Charlie Says.

Before that, he was a regular player on US soap Days of Our Lives, before joining the cast of Dark Angel in 2001.
