Update 16th September: Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s ‘A House Fit for a Duck’ had been glitched for many players at launch, with one of Donald’s items spawning inside a piece of furniture. Good news! A recent patch to the game has fixed it. So if you couldn’t complete it before, update your install and try again.

A House Fit for a Duck is a quest that you’ll be given by Donald Duck soon after he arrives in Disney Dreamlight Valley. It’s a fairly simple quest, which first involves getting a boat repair kit, using it to fix Donald’s house and, finally, clean up his house by finding some items from within.

The problem comes from gathering up the items. Here’s what you need to find:

We found most of these with no problem at all. They’re simply littered around Donald’s small house, signified by glistening spots on the floor and on the furniture. However, when it comes to getting the second award, we just can’t pick it up.

There’s a glistening spot inside Donald’s coffee table, and no matter how we try, we can’t interact with it. We’re not the only ones with this problem and if you encounter it too, there’s unfortunately not much you can do.

It means that, if you have this glitch, A House Fit for a Duck is a Disney Dreamlight Valley quest that you cannot complete right now. Our only option is to wait for a patch from developer Gameloft that will hopefully fix the issue.

Thankfully, there are plenty more quests you can be getting on with by talking to any one of the other characters in the game.

As for the rest of Donald’s stuff in your inventory? We’ve simply stashed it away in a storage chest for now.
