Porsche Australia has increased prices by between $2000 and $16,600 – and some models don't even gain any extra equipment for the higher cost.

Porsche Australia has increased prices across five of its six models, by between $2000 and $16,600 – though only three gain additional features across some or all models.

In effect since early May, Porsche prices have risen across the 718 (Boxster/Cayman) sports car, Macan medium SUV, Cayenne large SUV, Panamera sedan and Taycan electric car ranges.

The highest price rise of all – $16,600 – has been applied to the Cayenne Turbo GT flagship.

The latest round of price rises – which coincide with the start of Model Year 2023 – have been attributed to increases in shipping and production costs, as claimed by most other manufacturers across the auto industry.

Standard equipment has increased on certain variants across the 718 (Boxster/Cayman), Macan and Taycan model lines.

However, in each case the value of the extra features – up to $6640 – accounts for no more than half of the price rise on the relevant variant.

Headlining the additions is the inclusion of adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking as standard features on the $110,000 Macan S and $138,000 Macan GTS SUVs, and a no-cost option on the $187,000 to $195,000 718 GTS 4.0 two-doors.

These items were previously bundled into an option package that cost about $2000 – despite autonomous emergency braking being standard equipment on Australia’s cheapest new car, the $16,000 Kia Picanto, as well as the cheapest variant of the new Isuzu D-Max work ute.

While AEB is now standard on the Macan S and GTS, it remains part of option packs on the base Macan and sporty Macan T, as well as the base and S versions of the 718 Cayman and Boxster. It’s not available at all on the 718 Spyder, Cayman GT4 and GT4 RS, which cost up to $300,000.

It is also unavailable on any 718 variant with a manual transmission – meaning the only 718 model with autonomous emergency braking as part of the purchase price is an automatic 718 Boxster or Cayman GTS 4.0, priced from $187,000 to $189,700 (up by about $12,000 compared to earlier pricing).

Alongside AEB and radar cruise control, LED headlights are now standard across all but the base 718 Cayman/Boxster – replacing bi-xenons – while tinted LED headlights are now standard on the GTS (replacing non-tinted LED units).

Other new features include automatic parking for all Taycan variants, tyre repair kit has been added to the $312,700 718 Cayman GT4 RS coupe, and a Bose surround system for all 718 variants bar the entry-level model.

For a full list of the new features added – and how much they're each worth – see the list at the bottom of this story. Price lists are below.

Note: All prices exclude on-road costs. All variant use automatic transmissions unless otherwise stated.

Taycan: Active Parking Support (automatic parking) standard across the range
